Advising any of you to NOT upgrade to 15.2 right now.

I'm not one to complain about "bugs" but whew this release is not doing so good for me. Of the ~2 decades I have been coming to this website.

Pinned/docked PWAs are failing to load.
Xcode is a mess.
Spotlight got even worse than the 15.0 and 15.1 releases.
Image generation tool/utility doesn't actually seem to work/do anything.

Do yourself a favor and just hold off until 15.2.1 drops.

While I can't recreate, getting user complaints about slow browser performance after 15.2 upgrade (Chromium based and Firefox) yet Safari seemingly unaffected? Unsure of root cause still, but wondering if any other anecdotal mentions as one user said "15.2 update killed my browser". Advising them to restart to Safe Mode, clear caches in browser also and restart again. Some have said they had luck with that. But still feels slightly "voodoo" not knowing exactly what's the cause, no common link found yet.

I suggest contacting Apple regarding your Xcode issues.

Sonoma 15.2 works well on my Mac, but I'm not a developer.

Something to think about in the future - my wife also uses the Mac professionally and never installs updates within a week after they've been live. It's a good idea to let other users find issues with updates first, wait until they get fixed, and only then install it.

PWA's working fine on my personal and work machines, I don't use Xcode and Spotlight is working fine for me. I don't have access to any Apple intelligence stuff so I can't comment.

hmm... the sky is not falling here; am having a stellar experience with my mac, my apps. never better.

why not just post that you need help with an issue (or issues)? these "everything is bad for everyone" posts are ridiculous...unless, it were true.

it's not.
I seem to also be having a great experience on 15.2 on both my M1 MBP and 2018 Intel Mac mini. I am seeing the occasional Network blip drop-offs folks were having during the betas, but it's not a deal breaker by any means. I was actually planning on staying on 15.2 for a while because it's just fine for me right now.

All good here except one little hiccup. Rearranging playlist songs I have had Music quit when I try to drag one particular song to a different spot. I go over to my iPad to do it and no problem. Other than that, it's been all shiny and bright!

Yeah well all my Tagged folders and files no longer come up on the side bar. Airdrop is also not showing up on the sidebar. I'm on iMac M3, 15.2. No 3rd party app modifying or utilities installed. Just Vanilla Mac OS. I can see the folders with the tag color on them. They just don't show when I click the color on the side bar.

sounds like a specific problem. start a thread, name it appropriately, get help.

posting on a whiny thread about the OS is no more productive than... starting a whiny thread. and this forum is a remarkable resource for getting help 👍

I tried several times to upgrade to 15.2 Thunderbolt devices on a 2019 Mac Pro simply do not work. I concur 15.2 is a disaster. I reverted to 15.1 and all is working fine for me.
