I've only had my new machine for three weeks and it's scheduled for a trip back to the Apple store... It's been hanging intermittently while using Lightroom & Photoshop. Today I ran Apple Diagnostics and got a VFD002 error, indicating some kind of display problem.

I've never had an issue with any of my previous Apple hardware. Do they tend to fix these machines at the store while you wait? I'm really hoping I won't be stuck without a laptop for an extended period.

Thanks in advance.

There may be an issue with the display.
Contact Apple or take your computer to an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Retail Store to determine which service and support options are available.

IMO, the good news is that you only had it for 3 weeks so there may be a chance they may just do a exchange and give you a new machine at the apple store. Worst case scenario is that you may be without your macbook for a few weeks as they may send it out for repairs.
