15" 2016 MBP freezes/crashes sometimes when connect to power?

My laptop sometimes crashes and freezes altogether after connecting to power, it happened twice in 2 days and everytime it happens it would either do a reboot by itself or I would have to power it up again, and everything goes back to normal until it happens again.


anybody experiencing the same thing? I attached the apple error report for referencing

Do you have a Time Machine disk connected? If so, try disconnecting it.

If not, try a clean install. If it still crashes, I'd return it as defective.

I just spoke with apple support and ran a diagnostic test on the machine, the results ended up showing no issues found and reference code ADP000 so I'm guessing its not a hardware problem, don't know how accurate the test is though. now I'm just confused, maybe its due to dirty electricity spikes from the wall? I had a usb-c to usb adaptor plugged in to the laptop but nothing was powered on through that cable, weird!

Are you using the stock charger with the original cable, or some third party charger/cable? Also, try leaving that adaptor unplugged and see if it happens again.

If it happens with no other accessories connected, and with stock charger/cable, insist on having the MBP replaced.
