    Hi all,

I need some advice from you guys on determining how much my mac is valued at roughly in the used market at the moment.

15" Early 2011' Macbook Pro :apple:
Processor 2.00 GHz Intel Quad Core i7
    Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6490M 256 MB GDDR5 and Intel HD Graphics 3000
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4
    500GB 4500-rpm hard drive

    Battery at 43 Cycles
    Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen Display

Bought it last year on release date

    MacBook Pro 1999 + %13 TAX = 2259.87
    Apple Care 379 + %13 TAX = 428.27

    Total cost = 2688.14

Bought from apple online store Canada

A Feb 2011 15" MBP with a better graphics chip, bigger hard drive, and modestly better processor than this model is going for $1699 in the Canada Apple Store. Those refurbs have a year of Apple warranty.

Your machine has an extra half year of Apple Care, but to a buyer it lacks the same assurance as buying something bought directly from Apple that has already checked over.

While it's (always) possible to find someone gullible, $1550 seems like the reasonable upper limit (even accounting for the tax).
