15-inch vs 17-ince MacBook Pro

I have heard rumors that the 15 inch screen was LED and the 17 inch was LCD... is this true? If it is, wouldn't it be better to get the 15 inch based on the quality of the screen? Or am I completely wrong?

i think right now only the 15" is LED screen

They're both LCD screens. The 15'' has LED backlighting and the 17'' has older CCFL backlighting.

yeah, LED is better i guess, but it's smaller.....

yes, LED is brighter and it never gets dim until the day it dies its also more efficient

it also steps down in brightness insted of fades but thats not a big deal...
