well since your adapter goes from w/e to dvi, and your monitor is dvi, i would guess you would need a dvi cable.

Okay, let me try this:

When I searched miniDVI-to-DVI adapter (what the mini comes with), I get this: http://img.systemaxdev.com/productmedia/htmlimages/cten/Accessories/Q72488-Big.jpg

Which doesnt look like that DVI on my LCD which I posted before: http://att.macrumors.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=175546&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1244841059

So after doing some more search, I think I need this: http://www.pccables.com/images/01784.jpg

with the extension cable: http://www.konecable.com/images/hdmi_000.jpg

NOW
I have a VGA cable already, which I bought 2-3 days ago. If HDMI is that much better, then should I return it, and get the adapter and HDMI cable?

You could do it with one cable for less than $10 from monoprice:http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10419&cs_id=1041912&p_id=4852&seq=1&format=2

I thought your TV had an HDMI input? If so, then you just need an HDMI cable. Spend no more than $15.

Those are the ports it has. But it said DVI, but had HDMI above it, which is why I was confused at first. But now I'm seeing what I need.

However, looking at the adapter, I would still need a cord to connect the adapter TO the TV. I don't have a DVI cable, just the VGA as you see which I could probably return.

[*]I though long and hard...Thats what she said.

I would actually go with the macbook pro, it will still do a lot of the "Heavy lifting" that the mac pro will do (albeit slower) and the machine will not be a lot heavier than your current macbook.

Maybe still use the mac pro if you really need.

Here's the deal, like I said, we're not too financially set. So us 3 splitting $1,600 will not be easy, which is why I'm going with the Mac Mini. The only reason for using the Mac Pro's is for the bigger screen, and I still use my Macbook on the side.

So I though, why go 15" at $1,600, when I could go 22" +Still have my MB for around $600? Also, I could do my work in my dorm, and save gas from having to drive over there every night, and hoping I dont fall asleep behind the wheel again on the drive back.

I think the Apple screens at the school are only 18/19" anyways.

Thats fair enough then, hope you enjoy the Mac Mini.

We can both say my 1st gen MacBook hardware is slowly becoming outdated, so at least I'll have newer hardware to fall on without shelling out so much.

I want a MacBook Pro, but I need more space. So when I put my priorities in line, the cheapest way gets me the bigger screen, which is what I need. (You could say I need a MBP, but I mean overall, its about the screen size and a few other things the MMini is capable of doing)

...the HDMI plug in my Dynex 22" flatscreen (Flame me, I know its a crap LCD. I bought it with my money, I'm happy with it)...

No probs with Dynex (as a brand) from my point of view.

The HDMI cable from my satellite box to my TV is a Dynex. I refuse to pay ~4x the price for a Monster cable of the same length. Besides, I'm not running a 88" 7.1 Dolby surround home theatre or anything, and the Dynex does what is intended.

Thats wonderful, but I still need a quick answer to my previous question.
