Some states don't have salestax ;) wow, thank you for the exclusion info... good catch! When I asked Discover over the phone they said it would be covered. Good to know that I'll need to purchase applecare, but I think anyone with an education discount can purchase it for you for $200 (normally $300).

That's from your gross, so it's not really $498. You would be lucky if it's half of that.

What SMC / EFI bug? Never heard about getting store credit for that.

The one where fps drops when gaming, I returned it one or two days prior to them releasing a fix so I raised holy hell since I had to get a new one + load it with all my stuff again.
