15" MBP 2.66 ghz

Do you guys think the 2.66 is worth the price hike from the 2.4? Thanks for any info.

Yes, but not because the CPU jump. Two years down the road, you will be able to upgrade the RAM in the 2.66 to 8 GB for around $150. That jump in RAM will make the high end version more future ready. I would guess it will make it seem very capable for five years instead of three.

I would do it for sure.

Should have stated that the 2.4 GHz only accepts 4 GB of RAM (some say 6 GB), while the 2.66 accepts 8 GB right now!

Id say get the 2.66 simply because of the fact that later on you can upgrade the ram to 8gb.
