Yes, but not because the CPU jump. Two years down the road, you will be able to upgrade the RAM in the 2.66 to 8 GB for around $150. That jump in RAM will make the high end version more future ready. I would guess it will make it seem very capable for five years instead of three.

I would do it for sure.
 
Should have stated that the 2.4 GHz only accepts 4 GB of RAM (some say 6 GB), while the 2.66 accepts 8 GB right now!
