Buddy called me, what is the significant difference between the glossy hi-res verses the anti-glare hi-res??? Is one better then the other??

One is glossy while the other is matte.
Have him/her look at both side by side in an Apple store to make a decision, it's all about preference.

Is one better in certain conditions?? IE , indoor vs outdoor, and different lighting conditions..... Also, he was asking if the air screen is hi-res, I told him that I didn't think so..

I got a hi res (glossy) as i liked the black line around the sides and top of the screen. As long as there both hi-res the only difference is with glossy g you get glare from the sun or bright light.

Anti-glare is generally better for use outside where lighting conditions can't be controlled. Glossy is generally better for indoor conditions when you can control ambient light.

11" Air: 1366x768
13" Air: 1440x900
The Air doesn't have a high res option, but they're both pretty high res for their screen sizes.
