15 MBPr Haswell: Mavericks USB Thumb Drive Won't Boot: PLEASE HELP

I'm having issues with my 15in MBPr Haswell (weird freezing issues).

Anyway, I made a Mavericks USB Thumb drive that I have used on other machines no problem. On my machine, when I try to boot off of it, I get a circle with a line through it.

Any ideas? Thanks!

What happens if you try to boot off the recovery partition?

Recovery partition works; however, I'm trying to boot off of something other than my hard drive. Disk util found an issue (something about live files) and I need to boot off of something else...
