Other 15 plus or 14 pro max 929 vs 999

If getting an upgrade for someone coming from iPhone 12 which would you go with and why?

Price difference is almost negligible

14 pro max is higher quality materials than plus but heavier

3 cameras pro motion and always on display

15 plus has pink, maybe better battery life, and lighter / newer design.

I think usb-c is more of a con than pro for this person but not a deal breaker.

Personally I would go for the 15 plus, because of the weight, you have a 12 that is really light weight actually. I have the 12PM and feel that it is heavy, and the 14PM is even heavier, for me the 13PM & 14PM have never been of interest because of the weight.

For those inclined to need the utmost pro features the 999 price on cleared out is great compared to 1199 15pro max

But still 15 plus has more pros than cons for
Most people I think. Especially coming from 12 regular

I’m actually having this exact debate for my mother in law. She’s coming from an 11, so anything is an upgrade. But I was thinking of getting her a 14 Pro instead of a 15 for the promotion and always on display as well as the additional lens. I’m assuming the 14 Pro price will drop tomorrow (thru carriers) once the 15s are available.

Hard to say, since im debating with myself if I should switch to Plus..The downsides are 120hz, camera and AOD (or am I missing something?) but you get way better weight. I guess everyone has to think about if that is all important stuff or not and then decide whats best.

My wife had my 12PM initially but it was way too heavy for her so she traded it with my regular 12, and have been happy for it. I now asked her if she wanted the 15 or 15P, the 15P having little (in daily usage) camera, and battery but a little heavier, she said definitely 15 with just the fact of the weight.
I feel that the 15 gets really close to all the pro features actually, keeping in mind what the 99% of phone usage really is (web browsing, texts/emails, music/podcast, pictures/video viewed on the phone screen, watching videos, social media)
