Just picked up my 15 pro max tonight in Australia. I have noticed the camera rattles quite loudly when the phone moves in certain ways. It is noticeably loud compared to my 13 pro max. I wonder if this is a side effect of the new lense on the pro max. The sound goes away completely when I’m using the camera app. Curious to know if any other 15 pro/pro max owners have noticed this!

Here we go…..it’s just lens rattle. Normal.

Nah, I know lens rattle from previous iphones. This is a loud “thud” sound that is substantially worse and louder than previous models

Video displaying the issue. It happens just from normal movements. Could be an isolated issue or it could be related to the new 5x pro max camera

I returned a 15 Pro due to the same sound. The sound seems pretty loud for such a small lens/system. Some say normal. I thought the battery was loose ;)

The 5x tetraprism doesn’t make noise because it doesn’t move. iPhone 15 uses the same sensor shift stabilization as iPhone 13.
