How come i cannot run quake 4 in widescreen? I called aspyr and they said that quake 4 does not support the new graphics card in the SR MBP's. When will a patch or firmware update come out so i can play the game in all its glory. I have downloaded all the patches so far. Thanks.

15" SR MBP 2.4 = No Widescreen Quake 4???

Are you running the game natively in OS X or are you booting into Windows XP/Vista?
You should be able to get Quake 4 to use wide screen ratios by running some console commands:

You can do it. In the graphical settings there is a choice where you have to select "16 by 10" (which is widescreen). Then the widescreen resolutions, such as 1440x900 are available to you. I should know because I did this yesterday lol, unless I'm not completely patched up to date and newer patches took away features (???).

I downloaded the update yesterday. And I'm currently running in 16:9 widescreen mode (not that it should matter as I was running in widescreen mode before the update).
