I just acquired a 15" LCD Apple Studio Display. Seems in great shape, except I can't get it to power on. I have installed a graphics card with an ADC port (actually 2 of them on 2 different machines) in an AGP slot, and the VGA on these cards work. However, when I plug in the ADC port, nothing happens.

Is there a step I'm missing as to synching the monitor and computer, or possibly in hooking up the video card (I know it's a powered port, but I assumed it was just AGP bus powered...)

Or do I just have a broken LCD?

I have reset the PRAM and PMU, that didn't seem to do anything.

Anyway, thanks for the help!

I have a 15" Apple LCD Studio Display.

I run it on a G4 400, G4 500 Dual, and G4 933 via the ACD connector.

I use stock video cards as you are doing via the AGP slot.

All I do is plug the monitor into the ADC port and it works: I think you might have a defective monitor.

Thanks for the help, but found out it's because I'm using Sawtooth machines and the ADC's need GigE or DA's or higher to run. Oops!
