The lid on my 15" TB MBP is slightly misaligned from its top case, along the front and right sides.

I'm considering exchanging it, but it's not a huge deal and I don't want to end up with anything worse. Anyone else's MBP experiencing this?

I have to stop reading this stuff. I never notice half of what people here see as problems and it's making me paranoid.

They'll take it back for any reason or no reason. If it's bugging you, take it back. Have you tried to back up to Time Machine using a direct USB C to your back up drive? That's an issue I'd notice.

Most of the time, only the dissatisfied customers express their concerns on public forums. If people are completely happy with their product, only a handful of them would actually come to the forums to tell everyone about it. Don't worry, defects do not happen that often.

Maybe I'm trying to find out if this is widespread, which is the point of communicating with other users of the same product on a public forum.

What would it change? If there was a manufacturing defect that caused some percentage of new MacBook's to have their body/screen misaligned, in what way would knowing that other people have it too change whether or not you take it to Apple to get it replaced or not?

If that's wrong what else is out of whack.
It should have been caught at half a dozen stations during assembly and not been shipped
They must really be rushing them out to keep up with order demand

Did you get it like that from Apple? In any case, it's an easy fix, if you don't want to return it. Mine came back like that from repair (screen replacement for "staingate").

Remove the bottom cover, loosen the three screws on each side that hold the display lid in place, adjust the lid position, tighten the screws.

It wouldn't change anything... but by that comment I'm also going to say "Welcome to an online discussion forum and community" as clearly this is a new experience for you. Showing the issue lets others have a chance to check theirs for the same and return it if they are unhappy...

If you don't like how an online forum works may I suggest the attached, I hear there are three billy goats who live nearby that can keep you company....

Calm down. I just asked a question. You should take some pills and you should make sure one of them is for chilling.
