15" to 13" Processor Transfer

Is it possible to transfer a 2.53 GHz processor from a 15" Macbook Pro to a 13" Macbook Pro that originally had a 2.53 GHz processor? The only difference that I can tell between the two processors is the L2 cache, which is 6 MB for the 15" and 3 MB for the 13".

The processors are part of the logic board, so I don't think it will work.

You would need to desolder the old CPU and solder the new one on; to buy that equipment, you're better off buying a new computer.

Also the difference in performance due to cache amount is not that big for most things.
