That's a bit surprising. My 2015 13" runs 2xQHD just fine and 1x4K just fine. I have not tried dual 4K though. It may be that there's just too much bandwidth load accessing the shared system RAM.

Might be, it just gets lots of sluggish with safari windows, many big excel files, SAP GUI & lots of background stuff going around.. he eventually does turns on the fans as well.

Should have gone for the 15" tbh was a bit dumb from me at that time of purchase.

I don’t use dual monitors although I do frequently use my LG 5K w/a 2018 13” (i5) in clamshell and don’t have any troubles. I’m typically only working with spreadsheets, word processors, multiple references along with having typical apps open (mail, safari, etc), so nothing overly intensive. Launchpad lags just a little, but not really that bad..just not quite as smooth as it is sans the 5K. I don’t suffer any heat problems and everything runs just fine. Anyhow..just thought I’d share for benefit of those considering the 13”. As I understand it, the 5K does draw a fair amount of resource to run properly. The 13” (at least for me) has always been a great laptop overall.
