D derek1984 macrumors 6502a Original poster Mar 2, 2009 #1 How much better, if at all, are the speakers on the 17 inch MBP compared to the 15 inch?
nomar383 macrumors 65816 Mar 2, 2009 #2 I could tell the difference on the 15" v 17" powerbooks, but I dunno about the MBP
Brien macrumors 68040 Mar 2, 2009 #3 They're supposedly better, but I haven't heard them side by side to really compare, but I can say that both the 17" and 15" sound much better than they used to (IMO).

L lscangus macrumors 6502 Mar 2, 2009 #4 The unibody generation is worse than the original aluminum PB and MBP But the headphone audio output of the 17 inches is better than 15 inches. Analogue wise.

J jmark macrumors member Mar 2, 2009 #5 I'd say the speakers on the 17 are noticeably better than those on the 15. The bass seems to go lower, and they play a bit louder.

A AR15MBP macrumors 6502 Mar 2, 2009 #6 The 17" has 5 speakers, whereas the 15" has 3. 17" 15" Hard to tell on the 15", but there is 2 speakers and a sub. 17" has 4 and 1, respectively. No clue on the quality of the speakers, but the 15" speakers are the best I've had on a notebook.
