Never saw the need for a LTE ver of the iPad since I can always make a personal Hotspot with my iPhone. Is there a valid/useful reason for the added expense?

1. I have grandfathered AT&T unlimited plan on my iPhone, which I have to give up if I want hot spot function.

2. Hotspot drains iPhone battery.

3. Hotspot disconnects frequently, so having to reconnect is a pain.

4. Having the LTE plan on the iPad means I can use the iPad as a hotspot for other devices, like a laptop.

I definitely don't NEED it, it's more of a convenience thing of not having to go to settings and link up the hotspot every time I want to use the iPad. I ended up with a wi-fi version because of the price difference and it's been fine for me.

For power users though, not having to drain the battery on your phone while out using lots of hotspot time is a benefit.

I used to also not see the point on the LTE version, but once I got used to just "picking it up & it was online all the time, instantly" - It's just so much nicer.

Definitely not a "need", but a "very nice to have" depending upon your usage situations

I may have misread it. Either was I mentioned it was the 32GB as the title of this thread says 128GB.

Yeah I realize the thread title doesn't exactly match up I just don't want to have a whole bunch of threads of random prices for different models, so I thought we consolidated all of it in here

Lots of good deals but wonder why so many. In the past, iPads have never went on sale this much/this quickly. Remember when iPad Air 2 came out. Got it on sale + $150 target gift card.
I'm wondering the same thing. Is it somethings to do with the iPad pro not selling well?

Well its iPads/tablets in general that are declining.

Also iPP is not cheap no matter what people say.

For most people, they would rather buy a laptop which technically does do more things than an iPad. Not talking about doing stuff better, just saying more.

Not getting on you about this because I know a lot of people have this line of thinking, but I don't know wtf people are talking about when they say a laptop can do more. I can't remember the last laptop I had where I could write on it using as variety of different quality apps from the largest App Store in the world. I don't remember a laptop where I could touch the screen and have it be a meaningful experience and not just some tacked on "well here's a touchscreen! There ya go" kinda thing. Or the last time I had a laptop that performed as well as my iPad with few issues.

But I get it. Because iPad can't run the official desktop photoshop app, discount the million of other apps as just meaningless

That's because you just said you can't think all the different way you can write on a laptop or a laptop that offers different ways to "experience stuff".

Yup, laptops can't do that but they literally can do more things. They are not defined by apps. They are not bound by iOS.

Your talking about having the best experience, I'm talking about physically able to do more things because there simply are more things that can be done. Your talking about possibly doing things more pretty or nicely on the iPad, I'm talking about be able to download/use things you might need.

When Apple writes all its software from an iPad, reply back and tell me that I'm wrong.

Be more open-minded.
