Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me, the other day I was enabling iTunes Match on my MacBook & a pop up appeared on my screen saying my Mac was running slow & could they run a diagnostic check, at first I thought it was apple so I said okay.
Then they told me I had loads of critical files that needed removing & was it okay to do this, so I agreed & I had an online chat with a so called Geek called Martin, after removing a few files etc, they said that that was all they could do & if I wanted my Mac completely cleared which would make it run faster it would cost $80 or so
This is when I became suspicious & asked if this was apple I was dealing with, when they said no, I said good bye & said I wanted to check them out before I paid any money.
I'm not just worried about the money, but what they will actually do to my Mac, it does run a little slower than when I first got it, but it is over six years old now.
Thanks in advance for any help
