The "XIII" in the logo makes me think they're revealing something with watches, since Roman numerals are oft used on analog clocks.

The 2013 one is undoubtably the simplest of them all. It could signifying a new light for Apple software.

I really doubt it'll look anything like that. They will likely remove the gloss overlay effect from the icons consistently and continue with very subtle gradients.I hope it's not, one reason I like Apple of Android is the Android apps are flatter than what Apple uses, but I guess they may all be going in this direction for some reason?

I'm not sure why some of the default apps have the overlay and some don't.
