well, i like that logo and if iOS7's icons are gonna look like that then i have no problem with them.:apple:

i don't think there is any connection between the WWDC logo and the iOS7's icons. by the way, that logo is awesome.

I hope it's not, one reason I like Apple of Android is the Android apps are flatter than what Apple uses, but I guess they may all be going in this direction for some reason?
I really doubt it'll look anything like that. They will likely remove the gloss overlay effect from the icons consistently and continue with very subtle gradients.

I'm not sure why some of the default apps have the overlay and some don't.

I'm going into this with an open mind. I am perfectly content with how iOS looks now, but I wouldn't mind a change either.

I kind of like the icons all the way they are now, however if they all get too boring, I will just stick with my iPhone 5 and keep iOS 6 on there.

well they wouldn't be using the numerals I through XII, seeing how those are from a bygone era (aka so last decade!)

Tell that to the Super Bowl people. Do schools even waste time teaching Roman numerals? Teaching them how to convert to and from binary, hexadecimal and decimal will help kids so much more unless they work at Caesar's Palace. :D

Cook said something along the lines of with iOS 7 everything would be centralized or something along those lines.

It started to make sense afterwards when putting it all together from the other things i have read, along with the icon for this years WWDC

"Centralized"

They are going to have a one click access to all Apple apps/Built in apps that come with the phone. You can imagine hitting one icon and once pressed it branches out like a spyder web(not a folder) somewhat and your built in apps are there. This would be a centralized layout for the standard apps. Somehow they would make it "cool" or "magical" and it won't be just a shortcut to apps, maybe something else when it branches out

I think this is whats going to happen...
