15in screen vs 17in screen

It is just me, or is the brightness more even and the viewing angles much improved on the 17in model vs the 15in model?
 
Only real difference is the DPI of each screen. The 17" is a little sharper at 133 DPI compared to 110 DPI on the 15.4" screen.
