Hey guys, I ordered a 15pro, coming from the 13 pro, but am reading disturbing reviews of super bad battery life.. can anyone yet confirm those? Strongly thinking to switch to the pro max this time..

What reviews? It was just released today. Anyone complaining about day one battery needs to take a step back and remember the process a phone goes through after the initial setup.
Every YouTuber I saw with early iPhone samples observed the 15 as a Little worse than the 14 Pro.

But to be fair, they were running the upgraded GPU through the wringer with desktop level gaming.

The 13 series had unreal battery life. That is the one thing I’m gonna miss upgrading from my 13 Pro Max.

This is why I’m waiting for some more real world use reports and feedback. If there is no improvement to battery life there’s really very little incentive for me to upgrade from 13 Pro. I’d rather change the battery and use it some more.

That guy:
amongst others.
The reviewers had the devices for a week now, so they should know.

Hopefully traveling!
in the last 3 to 4 hours of using my phone, the battery life on the 15 Pro Max has been equal to have not worse than the 14 Pro Max. Keep in mind this is after the phone has been completely set up and index.

If Apple just increased the mAh to a point that it made the iPhone 15 Pro Max weigh the same as our 13 Pro Max then we'd have better battery life.

My 13 Pro had terrible battery life. I’ve really like my 14 Pro in comparison.

Some reviewers (tomsguide.com) are saying battery life is better on the 15 Pro. Time will tell.

It's unfortunate that so many people are still unaware that they shouldn't judge the battery performance of a brand new phone. There's a ton of installation happening, configurations, and yes, the infamous 'indexing' (the OS learning what's where for fast searching, photo inspections, etc) that will burn a lot of energy on the backend.

Anyone that tries to determine how well the battery performs within those first 24 hours or so isn't going to be getting an accurate reading, at all.

Battery life has so many variables, it's almost impossible to compare two phones. Especially two phones in different environments, different apps, different settings, different usage. Hence why every year you see a bunch of people saying they have the worst battery life ever and a bunch saying it's the best ever. (This isn't even taking into account the fact that battery life after restoring a backup is always going to be bad for a few days, if not the first week.)

Personally I never take stock in anyone else's battery life. I use my phone normally. If the battery life seems problematic then I try to see what's causing it on my device.
