16/256 or 8/512 M2 MacBook Air

Another vote for storage, My 8Gb M1 has suited my needs but I need as much and as fast storage as possible.

If in the US, for the same price, one can get a refurb m1 8/8 1tb with 16gb. I would get that, or save $$ and drop the storage to 512.

This is probably the best advice to OP IMO. M1 is still bees knees..

I’ve decided to go with the base M2 Model since I will be getting Apple Care+ also the Ram or SSD is too expensive.
