16-core M3 Max Macbook Pro super sluggish on low battery

Has anyone else noticed their 16-core M3 max getting super slow on low battery? I can barely get Word or my Browser to work when it's at around 6% or lower. It essentially does not work. There must be some sort of battery inefficiency at that stage. Maybe firmware can fix it?

IIRC from reading certain reviews current MacBooks throttle drastically when they get to around 3%. Maybe that has changed with more recent versions of macOS. Either way perhaps just try never letting it get that low? Redlining like that is bad for battery longevity. I never let my MacBook go below 10%, generally more like 20%, and with the crazily good battery life of AS MacBooks there's really no need to. I would suggest charging it when it gets to no lower than 10%, ideally for optimum battery health around 20%. Problem solved.

Do you use vivid? I wonder if that's the issue.

I suspect that this intentional so that the computer doesn't unexpectedly shut down at low battery levels.

dont know what that is but im assuming that the voltage drops and the max chip cant function correctly with lower voltage so slows cpu speed dramatically. not a big deal. its not like I need to barely run on the last 3%

It's an app that lets you use your Screen to do 1000 nits brightness all the time.
