16 core mac pro??

Xbit labs released a report saying that they expect intel to announce and talk about the "Octo core chip."

1. These would have 2.3 billion transistors(3 times as much as a core i7)
2. 24mb cache
3. certain additional performance enhancements may be implemented

is apple awaiting these processors rather than the standard nehalem xeon cpus?

What are your thoughts? (this is just an idea so please dont flame if I am far off)

This is Beckton, not Gainestown.

Unless Intel has managed to hide an 8-core Gainestown, this will not be in the Nehalem Mac Pro.
