16 GB ram on a Mid 2009 17" MBP C2D - Possible????

Would it be possible to run 16gb ram on a Mid 2009 17" MBP C2D. This machine has a limit of 8gb. Is there a work around?

Unless you replace the CPU and logic board, nay (in which if you did you then have a completely different MBP). 🙁
