Saw a discussion today about screen edge friction and he got a new one at the Apple store. I saw that my 16-inch screen has obvious scratches, and I observed it from a certain angle. The gap on the left is significantly smaller. I think it's a quality issue. Contact Apple to learn how.

Also putting on a hard case will make it run warmer… not recommend. It basically insulates the entire laptop. Long term is can cause things to fail pre-maturely. Like a battery which doesn’t like heat.

You are right, I am more concerned about the heating state of the computer. The average temperature here is 10 degrees, which is no problem in winter. If the weather exceeds 35 degrees in summer, I will consider not installing this case.

As I look at the pics posted above in the OP...

What is that we see on the side and on the lid?
Some kind of "cover" that YOU put on?

Sumthin' tells me that has much to do with the problems you're now experiencing.
I recommend that you take it OFF, and see what that does...

In fact, I love this computer more, and I hope to protect it in various ways. This soft shell cannot make the shell wear out. I also took it off and observed it. The effect is the same, but the gaps on both sides are obviously different.

Take the protective cover off. You’re going to damage your computer, which is the exact opposite purpose of that.
