My health was 97.X% out of the box, and has fluctuated between 97-99% throughout the 5 cycles I've put on it thus far. It's read 100% a couple times, and the highest mAH it has read was dead on the nuts at 8790, one time.

Still early, but typically by now all of my Apple devices show 100-200 mAH above the design capacity, and in reality they usually show that out of the box on Day 1. I did calibrate by allowing the battery to drain to 20% once (not going below that since deep discharges are bad for Li ion batteries) and it made no difference.

MBP seems to be struggling to hit full design capacity. How's yours?

Mine has, but only just.

Just got mine the other day and it fluctuates from 99.7% capacity to 100%... have no idea why. Plus it came with 5 charge cycles out of the box so not sure if that’s normal?

I can understand 1-3 cycles but 5 seems a lot more? Anyways monitoring to see how it goes over the next few days.

This is my situation at the moment. About two weeks ago it was at 89% so I did a calibration and after a couple of hours coconutBattery started to read 97%. Since then it continued to improve till today.

Coconut Battery hasn't worked right since the release of Mojave. I doubt it's their fault, but it may just be that it's a really tough nut to crack — and I'm not sure Apple would be much help for them.

Yes, but I had the same result with BatteriMonitor.app and going to check the System Report there was the same result also...

Most days mine is 100% with full charge capacity 8849 mAh. On occasion its been 99.5%. I didn't check the first few days so not sure what it was initially.

Mine is all good at 8896 mAh. 6 cycles. I think it came out of the box with 2 cycles. Can't confirm that for certain, but somewhere around there.

Mine is never going back to 100% again :(

Now it's always around 98% and 99%. I wonder if some of the lithium ions are "killed" by the high temperature after onetime when I used the machine very hot on a hard-wood table and the ventilation was not good at all :(

Pending between 99%-100%. I've had it for a week and it came with 1 cycle and 99% capacity.

My iStat & Coconut Battery info today. I think it started out at 98% and now it's hovering between 99-100%. I never had a full 100% on my 2018 model (96-98%), which was fine, but so far it's looking like the 16" should offer considerable improvements in battery life.

mines 95%ish after 13 cycles and it used to be 99-100% first two days of purchase (when the cycle count was around 4-5) then it dropped to 97% around 8 cycles. So I calibrated it a couple of days ago, and it’s now been stuck on 95%... this is so disappointing

I would tend to believe any minor inaccuracies are the result of Coconut battery not Apple/mbp battery. It's rather arbitrary who we choose to believe imho.

coconut fetches the battery info from the mb itself. In Software Information app under the power tab you can see the capacity that coconut fetches 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
