from few days ago (not sure if Mercedes sprinter's head unit or some USB-C PD battery killed it) my 16 Pro has dead USB 2.0 while 3.x and charging works ... 😀
I am most likely, first in the world 😀
Tested this in many many ways, from cables, usb 2/3.x devices, same mac-different cables, iphone is connecting to mac via 3.x cable normally, but with same cable and mac won't connect in recovery, even without available update and recovery re-install of iOS not possible, it is hard to rule-out SW glitch ... and so on, I can confirm that also Apple support agreed that it is HW issue somehow but still I give 1% chance to SW 😀 :/
Need to say there is no visable HW damage, there was no water involved, could be only electrical damage !
