iPhone 16 Pro Max 16 Pro Max hissing while charging?

My 16 Pro Max seems to be intermittently hissing when charging plugged in.

Is this a fault that means the phone needs replacing?

wonder if it's coil whine. Have you tried using a different adapter or a different outlet?

It does it with any charger and cable. Doesn’t matter where. I’ve been ignoring it so far but clearly something is loose and I should take it to Apple.

That is a brand new iPhone that’s under warranty so don’t waste time with that. Make a Genius Bar appointment with the nearest Apple Store and get it repaired / replaced.

I would not even consider getting it repaired. Get it replaced if still within the two week return .
