I had no plans to upgrade until a folding iPhone was released. My16 PM did what I needed and no issues until this morning. Fell asleep listening to an audio book, not on a charger. Woke up, grabbed phone instantly dropped it burning hot with blank screen. Nothing I tried to turn on or reset worked. Nightstand had discoloration where phone sat very hot. Made an appointment at Genius Bar. Diagnosis dead main board causing thermal runaway. Cost to fix $600 including tax. They had parts in stock. Walked out and went to my carrier and got a 17PM. Hope Daisy the robot enjoys her snack.I just purchased an iPad and was going to add AppleCare One this week. 17 is nice.
