Just wanted to ask people with the new 16 Pro or Pro Max, how is the back glass on your units holding up? I went to an Apple Store 2 days after launch and saw a lot of the display units with a bunch of scratches on the back glass. Very noticeable on Black Titankum models, less so on the other colors. My 14 Pro Max Space Black on the other hand is flawless.

I wonder how many of those are actual scratches in the glass. These matte finishes tend to abrade the things that rub against them, leaving dust stuck to the surface.

It’s definitely not dust. These tiny scratches were so apparent on the Black Titanium that I canceled my order and ordered a Desert Titanium.

I’m betting most of them are legit scratches. The black pros looked the same at the closest Apple Store to me last Sunday when I was there as well. I tried to wipe them off, albeit I didn’t scrub on it, and they didn’t even slightly fade. I kind of had a feeling the blacks would have coating issues similar to this, which is why I went with a different color. TBH I thought it would be on the titanium though not on the glass
