I do like Apple, but I am also aware how pricing of a product works: get the most you can, while you can. I have my own business selling retail, so I know how this works..

So recently I went to a local Lot Less store (it is a discount store for mostly discontinued items), and I noticed several unknown brands selling an AirPod like product for about $19.

Have not bought them, but I am curious if they have same performance and specs as the Apple brand?

If it is the case, than we are grossly overpaying for the original AirPods.
Just curious if anyone has bought and tested the cheap knockoffs in real life.

Thanx
Andrzej

I’d be worried sticking an unknown battery that close to my head!

And also potentially untested wireless radios!

I have seen a few Youtubers testing these, do a search on there for their reviews. They seem quite impressive for the price, although like tjv82c said I'd be wary about the quality.

My little brother was gifted these by family - a no-name $20 knockoff brand of AirPods.

Lasted him about a month before they died. They had all sorts of problems, audio was terrible, battery life was terrible, and they were noticeably larger than the real airpods.

You know what it made him do? Want the real airpods. So he got a pair. He's had them now for almost half a year and they're going strong.

You get what you pay for in most instances.

I have the upgraded LK-TE9. The sound quality is very similar to the AirPods except the treble is a little high. Has the W1 chip so it pairs the same way the official AirPods do. Battery life, 3.5 hours. For the price I paid, not bad at all.

As with every Chinese clone there are good ones and there are bad ones.

There are clones with decent battery, audio quality and fake W1-pairing that actually works.

However for each one of those there are probably 20 garbage products you wouldn't want to use for free.

Probably data mining your phone as well.
