I updated my iPhone 4S and i dont have the transperency anymore on the NC or control center.

Or is it only me?

EDIT: Turns out if you have Increase contract on everything goes black instead.

Doesn't look as great but if it leads to snappier performance then i'm all for it

That sucks. But the 4S is starting to age a little too, it's almost 2 years old. :( try a restore and see if that fixes it. Or, turn off "increase contrast."

Not too sure about that, both the new ipod touch and the ipad mini run off of the same SoC. i wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the 4S

Turn off "increase contrast in accessibility. It will fix it.

They're both clocked faster, no? I know the Mini is, but the touch I'm not sure about. The 4S is clocked the slowest.

Yea, i think the ipad mini is clocked at 1ghz while the 4S is at 800mhz....not too sure about the touch but it should be in the same ballpark as the 4S but runs at a slightly higher resolution. At the end of the day, it should be safe to assume that Apple would optimize ios7 for the A5 rather than strictly focusing on the A6 and whats probably going to be called the A7 socs

I look this 'solid' look a lot better than the transparent version. The transparency looks cheap and overwhelming.

Just updated my iPhone 4S to beta 3. Transparency on NC and control centre is still as in previous betas for me. Hmm ...

Did you not read the post you quoted???? It has been determined this is due to having increase contrast turned on.

Kinda sucks that that is happening on the 4S, I would have hoped the transparency would still be present in at least this phone instead of souly the 5.

Are you kidding? The transparency/frosted glass is the ONLY thing thing iOS 7 has going for it. iOS 7 is just plain boring.

Please both read the replies.

If you turn off 'Increase Contrast' then it goes back to being transparent.

I kid you not! The transparency reminds me of the cheap looking Windows Vista.

For me, the solid colors look less pretentious & more elegant than the transparent version. It's just personal preference.
