iPad mini Yellow band at the bottom of my iPad Mini Retina? (comparsion pic added)

exchanged another one today at local apple store, I feel a little bit yellow band at the bottom of the screen, will it gradually become more white after some time of usage?

Edited : the last pic to compare my one (right) with my colleague's , it's obviously yellowish, I'm gonna exchange another one.

I'm not convinced that it'll go away. I've managed to get one at last that has a nice even white screen and my view is that anything before a build week of 47 will have a higher chance of a yellow screen.

Any news to suggest that week 48 onwards is better?
 
Well the two I've had week 47 and week 48 have been markedly better than the horrid yellow ones from earlier weeks.

I have week 49. After one exchange of a week 47 I now have a near perfect screen.

I think we're now seeing screens from a new supplier now that started coming in at week 47. Mine is near perfect too - the best I've seen. Just a tiny bit brighter at the top but no noticeable yellowing. I'd call it creamy overall and like my iPad 4 was. Mine is also from the Pegatron factory and all the early ones seem to be Foxconn.

I would describe the screen exactly as you would. Also from Pegatron. My original return was due to very low volume on my speakers at 100% volume. Now screen and volume are more than acceptable. I agree weeks 48 onward maybe the ones to get. Something may have changed in the current production protocol.
 
Mine is week 43 (October), Foxconn, and is perfect.

But then again, I haven't run any of the OCD tests. :D I don't see any obvious issues, that's more than enough.
 
I have a week 46 model, with a definite shift from cool white to a warmer yellow-white as you look toward the home button. The frustrating part is that except for that the screen is absolutely perfect, without the barest hint of backlight bleeding or other imperfections.

I'm trying to decide if I should return it. I purchased it yesterday at the local Apple store, so I may wait a week for the next batch of minis to come in. By then their current stock should be depleted.

Mine from Pegatron week 47 has an almost imperceptible slight creaminess towards the left of the home button but it's so much better than all the rest I've seen and as good as most of the iPads I've had over the years that I'm classing it as perfect.

I'd agree that you should wait a week or two or order online from Apple. My online one from week 48 was perfect for screen colour but had some debris under the screen which was very annoying.
 
My first rMini, purchased last week, is week 48 from Foxconn. Screen looks uniform white to me with no back light bleeding. I haven't checked for image retention and don't plan to. I'm pretty picky (returned 3 iPad Airs) and I'm very happy with this device.
 
Mine is week 48 from Foxxcon China, and I have a yellow band at the bottom and low volume speakers, much lower than my regular mini. I'm not picky at all, but the yellow band does bother me. Unfortunately, the nearest Apple store from me is over 90 miles away. I really wish Apple would just move away from these Foxxcom guys permanently.
 
Sadly you cannot specify you want one from week so and so.....and it has to be from Pegatron.
