16th birthday- iphone 3g or 3gs payg

hi
im also turning 16 soonish and im having a little bit of a problem, im debating wether i sould buy the iphone 3g (payg) for £340 ish or go premium and buy the 3gs for £440.40,,,? 🙂
 
How you must have a pretty good life for that to be a problem........Anyway I would get the 3GS, you're getting new hardware and not last year's model........plus you get updates for longer than on the 3G.. I guess.
 
I would suggest the 3GS also, because of the video. My guess is that you would use that a fair amount...

Game performance is better also, and soon I suspect we will have games that require the 3GS to run...
 
haha...well most people say what would a sixteen year old want with an iphone they would never use it...but like i used my ipod touch 8 hrs a day everyday for 2 years 🙂
 
You do know that they will have a new one next year. I waited, because i didn't want to pay another $500 this year to "upgrade". I will wait until next year to get whatever they come out with.

If you dont' pay the phone bill (dunno if you have a job or not), then who cares , get the best you can

Well if you wait for the next big thing then you'll always be waiting hehe, just get the best one you currently can. The good thing about iPhones is that they have pretty high resale value, so it is not that expensive to upgrade every year.
 
hmm thats what i was thinking...i cant wait till next july for a phone/ipod...damn i cant even live like 20 days without one...and i will buy the 3gs and keep it possibly till the 5th iphone comes out in a few years time from now 🙂
 
why save for a car...i cant drive till im 18 here in the uk and by then im sure i will have a job 🙂

It's 17 to drive in the UK. It's only a myth that they're putting the age limit up to 18. Also, as soon as you're 16, get a job, and get saving!

Well, I've 3gs is better than 3g performance wise obviously, but nothing much for a 100 Eu. so, I'd recommend 3g... I've tried both, except that 3gs is a tad faster, everything is the same.. Anyways its upto you, if you can afford, then go for 3gs..
