17" Early 08 MBP taking a minute to start up???

My MBP has recently been taking over a minute to start up were it used to take a few seconds. any help?

I assume that you've slowly filled up your hard drive since you got it? That's probably why.

And if you've ever had to use Vista you would not be complaining about it taking a single minute, trust me.
