Hello everyone,

Searched the forums here and at osxhints.com with no luck.

Here's what I've got so far.
2 - 17" lcd studio displays with adc connections for free. it would have been pointless to buy the Apple adc to dvi connector for $100(x2). with some googling and continuity testing i was able to come up with the pin-outs for the adc and my dvi cables. I ended up with a 3 way split of the lcd/adc cable.
1. I used my old Lombard power supply to get power to the lcd.
2. Cut a usb cable and spliced into the usb portion of the adc cable.
3. Cut a dvi-d cable to splice into the tmds data wires on the adc.

Everything works fine when connected to my macbook with a mini-dvi to dvi connector. However, when I plug into my mac mini (2ghz c2d) I get a flashing/blank screen. This is a straight dvi to dvi connection. I've been googling my butt off to find a pin-out diagram for the dvi connection on the mac mini, but cannot find one. I know the mac mini sends out a digital and analog signal, and am assuming that the dvi pin-out is "standard. My suspicion lies in the fact that i did not connect any of the analog wires.
Here's what I left disconnected
ADC - pin13 soft power (red)
- pin20 clock return (black)
- pinC5 analog return (brown)
DVI - pin14 5v(+) power (orange)
- pin15 5v(-) power (yellow)
- pin16 hot-plug detect (white)
All other pins were connected point to point. The only "cross-connect" I made was the ADC 5v(+) LED to the USB vcc.
I've got everything wrapped up tight and sweet on my first monitor, so I'm gonna wait till my new power supplies ($4 each on amazon) come in and give it another go with my second monitor.

Wrapping it up; can any one find any flaws with the wires/pins I left disconnected? And does anyone know where I can find a pin out diagram for the mac mini dvi connection?

Thanks in Advance,
hondo
