I've got one on the way. (Well not technically, it still hasn't shipped, but it's paid for!)

The 1920 x 1200 display is definetly worth the money.

Interesting comment on the 15" LED screen versus the 17"

I would've thought the LED screen would've had a better viewing angle than the 17"?!

Why would the LED affect viewing angle?

I wonder after reading this if computers are getting so good that the improvements will continue to be just speed bumps...

I read that as meaning the 15" is slightly better - as in you can move to a narrower angle relative to the screen from the side or above and see things a bit better than on the 17".

That's definitely the case when I've checked them out in the Apple Store.

No ars was stating that off axis viewing becomes a problem sooner with the LED screen, meaning the colors/illumination stays more constant the farther off axis from looking dead straight ahead with the 17in CCFL. Probably not a big deal for most, and I expect with rev.2 LED backlighting, the colors will be even more accurate and viewing angles will increase, at least when I get a 2k res MBP 17in LED with the next update in Sept along with 2.6Ghz C2D, Blu-ray burner, 8700M GPU, and 800Mhz DDR2 SODIMM RAM ;) . I'll wait another 6-9mo for Penryn & Monteviña & DDR3, if I have to, until I get my damned 17in LED MBP screen!

Now if we can only get that 17in 2k res. LED out, it's about time Apple finally, finally put a 2k res screen on a Apple laptop as an option. It's been available for years on PC's!
