17" MBP polished?

They polished the 17" MBP with a higher resolution but havent put in the leds yet! Is this worth it? Worth not having a led display? In what ways can led be better apart from the mercury issue! Would one consider buying the 15" due to led rather than the 17" without it?

LEDs are brighter, and consume less power...

LEDs dont have the initial warm up time to reach full brightness like CCFLs do.

i'm hoping i can retro fit an LED screen into mine...if it craps out.

*if* you can stick a LED screen into a earlier gen MBP you're going to need the full screen enclosure. The enclosure for SR gen is different.
