17" Powerbook G4 1.5GHz for $620, worth to buy now?

To fill the gap of my collections, got an offer for a 17" Powerbook G4 1.5GHz, with 1GB RAM and 80GB hard drive.

Is $620 too much for this PowerBook? Shall I take it?

For your collection, yes
for your productivity, no.

It will be much slower than your 2.0 MB nearly across the board.

If you want it because it's an older computer and one of the last PowerBooks, then go for it, sure. It'll be fine for music, email, web browsing etc, as well as most other things that arent' too intensive (a little PSing, watching movies, etc).

It will not, however, compare to a MB ... or even close.
