iPhone 17 Pro 17 pro vs 12 pro photos

You probably need to wait until the phone is released to get some real world opinions on the cameras.
My Dad currently has the 12 Pro and I've just got a 17 Pro so we tried to do a comparison for you. In my opinion the 12 Pro still takes great photos but the 17 Pro comes into its own when you zoom in. I was skeptical about the 8x zoom as it is technically a crop of the 4x but scroll down to see my side by side comparison of the 2x on the 12 Pro and the 8x of the 17 Pro and it speaks for itself. I'm still getting to grips with my 17 Pro but so far I'm loving it!

It is the Airlie Monument (https://visitangus.com/things-to-see-do/attractions/airlie-monument/) in Angus, Scotland.
I’ve not done any real tests yet, but the color balance is WAY better than my 12, and the zoom has amazing resolution and color up to 8X. Beyond that the digital zoom kicks in, so it gets progressively less than perfect. Pretty much as expected. Better than my older Nikon for any quick pictures. Noce to be able to adjust bokeh the way you want.

I'm upgrading from my 12 Pro Max with 2.5X telephoto to the 17 Pro Max specifically for the new 4X/8X 48 MP telephoto.
BTW, the reviews confirm the tele is noticeably improved even against the 16 Pro Max. That shouldn't come as a surprise though, since the 17 Pro Max gains a 56% larger sensor, and moves from 12 MP to 48 MP, paired with an updated photo processing engine.
