What a crock of ****. Best Buy isn't Apple's QC team. They aren't in the business of wasting time either. An employee didn't randomly open every new iPad just to test them. For one, they couldn't sell them anyway after that, and two, we aren't that stupid to believe you. Stop being so damn anal.

The OP edited the post, we don't know what real story is, if this even happened. Somebody seems to opening new ones in this "story"

She changed it big time. In fact, I recall a few details that she has changed to the point where I can say this story is BS.

She didn't say there was a stack next to a guy already opened. She actually said the guy was opening retina Minis and checking them. She mentioned a few were returns already. This is total crap. Also, she said she wanted to exchange her mini but that the guy's actions caused her not to be able to.

Again, this user is spewing these awkward stories that seem to change when the responses aren't what she had intended. Go figure. I'm wondering if the user even has an iPad. According to post history, she should own at least two.

I just wish I were the kind of tool that quoted the OP even though it sat right above my post.

I don't see the issues with the retina mini that people seem to have. I also don't run image retention tests daily to see if there is any issue with strobing lights on the screen for a long period of time.

this one is far fetched... I just can;t see BestBuy allowing their entire stock of riPads to be depleted for image retention.

So, Miss Kitty... Do you have pics to prove all us naysayers wrong???

Personally, If I witnessed such a spectacle, I'd def be snapping pics for you guys... Especially a "stack of ipads" as you say...

With the image retention issues and returning like 17 times I'd give up and go for the Air. It is thin and light and I've not heard a single report of screen problems. It sounds to me like they rushed the Rmini to market without resolving issues.

Image retention issue is not confined to the rMini. I have an Air with a slight image retention when I stay on the checkerboard test page for ten minutes. Never going to do that in real life, so I'm keeping my Air.

Seriously, anyone who has returned 17 minis should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

And they should be forced to make full restitution to apple for the cost of selling a brand new perfect product as a refurb because some mentally ill person returned something 17 times

And what, pray tell, should the "penalty" be for not reading the original post, your honor?
