I'm confused. My Health app source list is empty but I have Fitbit running. Should the data be pushed into Health, or do apps like Fitbit require an iOS 8 update?

Neyo, I'm pretty sure that the updates will flow in starting Wednesday. I've only seen one app push an iOS 8 feature so far and that was OpenVPN.

Fitbit app and all others require an update

I see links to apps...

But what about links to where these people said support was coming,,l

Apple named most of these companies in the iOS 8 keynote back in June.

Also all these apps have to receive their iOS 8 update for them to be supported.

Apple announced Honda as a CarPlay supporter eons ago. Still can't buy one with it. Apple naming a company means squat.

So it sounds like the list in the OP means squat. I want to see where Fitbit, etc make a press release that says the update is coming.

Got this from Abvio this morning (Cyclemeter, Runmeter, Walkmeter guys):

Hello Rich,

Thanks for asking about our iOS 8 plans. We have submitted our 10.3 version to Apple, and we expect it to be approved any day now. It includes extensive support for HealthKit, as well as the ability to start/stop/lap and see stats from the lock screen in Notification Center. It also supports iPhone 6/6+ with their larger screens. And finally, we converted the whole app to be 64-bit, so it should run more efficiently on the iPhone 5S, 6, and 6+. We hope you like it!

I hope this sets your mind at ease about the future of Runmeter and iOS 8!

Please feel free to let us know if you have other questions or concerns.

8.0.1 is out and HealthKit's API are enabled. I guess we have to wait and see when the Apps start updating.

8.0.2 will probably come out today or this week since it destroyed some peoples iPhones

I can no longer use wifi an some can't use cell

Btw how did you figure out that HealthKit is fixed?

The first #HealthKit app is now live on the App Store following last night's 8.0.2 update: ****************Oi3p00

Nevermind it's not live yet

I'm updating now from 8.0.1. Steps stopped counting on 8.0.1 but millage was fine. Hope this is corrected on 8.0.2.

:(

Can't Apple make it a priority so approve apps that work with Health like Jawbone and Fitbit? I mean, they were supposed to launch alongside iOS 8 and I really really want my Fitbit to work with Health so I can read the data from there! :(
