This is bullish*t. They are all so greatly integrating into iOS 8 and are all tapping the data from the M7/8 but none of them will allow for their data to be shown in Health.app! Fitbit (where I just bought my "Flex" from for that particular reason) didn't even make a statement yet about all this. We will be seeing Apps updated for iOS 8 but probably none of the big ones will share data with Health.

Does Withings Scale work with HealthKit?

It will do, withings said on their Twitter feed today that the app would be updated in the next couple of days

Most feed into myfitnesspal.. Even garmin! And myfitnesspal have stated that an update is on its way that will integrate via HealthKit

So what I will need to do it have Health, Fitbit and MyFitnessPal installed so I can get my data 'somehow' into the Health.app and just need to look at that? 3 Apps = 1 purpose. great!

For what did I just spend 100 euros? :/

They measure and record different things..

If you don't want to record you calorie intake ignore Fitbit and why not Just wait until Fitbit release their update?

Problem is that Fitbit didn't even say they were going to update for Health integration.

They will integrate or they will be left behind and customers will move onto something else. Just be patient! I have a Fitbit and I think they will integrate when they release their next wearable.

Why would they say? It's commercially sensitive information.

Garmin denied they would integrate with MFP right up until theY enabled it.

If they share their data with MFP why won't they share it with apple, it was rumored back in June that they were working on integration.

Why would they only integrate with a new wearable? Its actually just software that needs to be updated?

It will work with all current wearables as well - I just think it will be updated at the same time as they release a new product so they can tout the feature. Just a guess.

Got a RunKeeper update but it doesn't seem to do HealthKit.

No I m talking about your lab results. Like HDL LDL triglycerides ect.....

This should be under Results. There are a lot of blood lab test measurements that are not there. I wonder if Apps can add these fields after connected? Of course this doesn't help if adding the info manually.

Curious to me is Number of Times Fallen. I'm a runner and also do extreme trail running. I may start adding my falls for kicks.

Sorry. Then no. I suppose it doesn't make sense to log data for such things (especially this early for HealthKit). Virtually all of the data which can currently be tracked can be monitored frequently, generally by yourself with apps/devices connected to HealthKit.

I'm pretty sure once they have the platform in place and in the span of a year we should see categories added in iOS 9. Or in a rare case they could add them mid year through one of the updates which is probably unlikely.

I guess what I am wanting or hoping is that HealthKit will be my one stop app for all my data. I don't want to go to other apps or areas to look for data like this even though it won't be updated but every 6 months I still would like it in there.

Thanks.

So you essentially want your medical records in Apple Health? I can see a future where that is possible, but these are very early days my friend.

DigiFit 8 is comming.

"Digifit is just waiting on Apple to approve iOS 8 apps with our new Health app integration, and we will have the latest version of our apps live and world wide. One sad note - we will not be supporting ANT+ sensors on devices running iOS 8."
