Tonight 1am order online for in store pickup Saturday

Just left the Barton creek Apple Store in Austin Texas and was told by an apple employee that tonight at 1am you will be able to order online and reserve for in store pickup tomorrow. She stated that they will be getting a lot of stock tonight.

Not sure if all stores will be doing this but if you are phone less it may be worth staying up til 1am and seeing if you can reserve one!

Just a heads up!
 
I thought it was 10pm ET? I guess it's changed, but I'll check then too... :) Good luck everyone, I guess this is the reserve at night time thread this year, woohoo!
 
I will check tonight! Would be awesome if it came through.
 
This sort of squares with what a Verizon rep told me today. I have a pre-order in with an October 28th delivery date (pushed back from 10/21!) but he said he thinks he'll have something for me in the next few days. It sounds like supply constraints will be easing quickly as new stock arrives daily.

My Pre-order is for a 128GB 6+.

Yes, an AT&T store said to come back around 4-5 pm cause they were expecting another shipment. Could not verify if they were getting pluses though. Are they the drop shipments everyone refers to?

I think with the 5 I kept refreshing at 9:55p ET, I'm going to try both - I'm sure after tonight we'll know for sure when online store inventory updates.

What happened with the 5, did you get it day after launch? I'm going to follow this thread closely. I want to get a plus but not wait 3-4 weeks for shipping.

Nope! I didn't, I'd actually love to go back and find the thread, it wasn't that much after launch. Every night there were so many people in the thread saying "Got it, Apple, 5th ave!" it was just a blast.

If it is anything like it was back then it would seem like not all stores update in stock inventory for the next day everyday. I remember going a few days where it looked like my closest store never had an update, then all of the sudden one day I was able to order two. And it still showed in stock after for like a whole 3 or 4 minutes :)

Simliar experience to the iPad 3rd gen IIRC.
 
I checked stock first instead of reserving.

Most models available tomorrow at my 2 local apple stores.

By the time I had started my reservation all gone except 16gb.

I'm in the UK.

Is this an order and pickup in store or is this just a reserve and pickup in store?

Heres my thought. I already used my upgrade to preorder with att. Id like to check the apple store inventory nightly to see if I can pick one up in the apple store and if so just cancel my att order. Will I be able to reserve a phone through the apple website and then cancel my att order or will I have to cancel my att order to be able to reserve through the apple webiste?

Thats what I was afraid of. What if I reserve like Im setting up a new line and then cancel that line once I get to the store and then just upgrade my current line with the phone they have reserved for me?
