Is this normal? My 'Other' space is only 179.9MB on iOS 8.1.3
I've usually had 5/600 on a fresh iOS install.
Have Apple finally solved the Other Space problem?

What is everyone else's Other space on their iPhones?

It can grow or reduce or generally change over time and what you use and do on the phone.

You are lucky if your other is only 180MB. My iPhone 6 64GB fresh install with nothing on the device, the other is roughly 1GB. My iPad 2 with nothing on the device is roughly 750MB. Currently my other is sitting around 1.8GB and I use a bunch of cache cleaning apps to remove app junk but it still won't decrease.

How do you even get the "other" to be that small?

This is mine, my "other" is larger than any other media combined!
This is on iphone 6 plus, dfu fresh install.

I really hate "Other".
Wish there was a way to get rid of it without resetting/reloading the whole damned thing (iPhone, iPad, whatever).

i just plugged in my phone and realized i have no other?!

I reset the phone about 2 weeks ago, no idea why i don't have anything taking up "other" space.

I used to have a much bigger other space on the same 64gb iPhone 6, it's only since 8.1.3 it's gone really small.

Clean install also.

My other is currently 2.3 GB which seems to be normal for an almost filled 64 GB iPhone. Having a ridiculous amount of music seem to increase this likely due to the music app caching song data (album art, etc).

We're dealing with this right now on my g/f's 16gb jailbroken 6.

Can't wait for 8.2 to come out and a jailbreak as then I'll attempt to fix the issue by setting up as new and seeing what happens. We have cleaned all cache, logs, and cookies. She has 400mb of music. Her apps add up to a total of 1.3 GB. No messages and no attachments. Yet, on her 16gb phone, she has over 8.5GB of "Other".:mad::mad: As for her JB, she only has 5 tweaks installed and they are all light weight tweaks.

She isn't happy and quite frankly neither am I. That is absolutely ridiculous. Like I said, when 8.2 drops I will continue to set up as new until I get a decent "other" amount since :apple: can't get this straightened out. AFAIK this has been a hit and miss issue in iOS for a very very long time.

Damn only 180MB of Other? Mines always at least 1GB after putting data back. Last I checked my 'Other' data is hovering around 3GB. Unless it gets ridiculously big (6GB+) I just leave it alone. Otherwise I'll restore it and that'll bring it down to 2GB. I think a big part of it is cached emails, and other items that don't fit into a catagory in iTunes.
