Is it just me not doing something, or is Safari 8.0 in Yosemite not showing the web page title?

What settings, where? I see the "Smart Search Field" option, but that's not it..

----------

The page title does not display at the top of the window unless there are multiple tabs open, in that case it displays on the relevant tab.

John Siracusa did (as usual) an excellent job illustrating and explicating some of these changes, he focused on the ideas behind abbreviating complete URLs. Definitely some changes!

Interesting stuff from Siracusa, but couldn't the page title still show above the address bar?

Safari in Yosemite can not show the title in its proper place.

The value of addresses/locations/paths/URLs in Safari, and of title bars in general – when I first tested a pre-release of Yosemite, my first problem report was about failure to display the title where expected.

Yosemite looks terrible! – an extraordinarily long topic, there are plenty of posts detailing the problems caused by the regression. Mid-October: No joy with WebKit, either, so Yosemite is firmly rejected

Months before the Ars Technica review, there was crankiness from Macworld about the reduction in usability from Apple's design direction.

There's some utter BS in the new OS X Human Interface Guidelines. Welcome to the fresh, new Apple.
