Click on any Sport edition in the store and it says:
What’s in the box
Apple Watch
Magnetic charging cable
USB power adapter
Two bands
Quick start guide

So, two of the same color band? Can I trade one band in for a different color? Does this mean the rubber bands aren't very durable?

Nice catch and confirmed!

The Watch Sport is the only model that comes with duplicates it looks like - the Stainless with rubber only comes with a single.

We will have to start a swap thread.;)

Yup, I'll start, anyone want to trade a M/L white for a S/M white? :)

Wait, the Stainless steel one with the sport band says it only comes with one band. Boo.

I know this might be waaaaay wrong, but having just read the "what's in the box" for myself, I get the feeling that "two straps" actually refers to the two pieces which make up one complete band... Hey, I hope I'm wrong, but my gut tells me that
2 straps = 1 band.

EDIT: the fact that the link band is "1 strap" could back up my theory.

No it's 2 bands, S/M and a M/L.

Not correct. It says "2 bands," not 2 straps. It is called a band on every other page. It is odd, though. Even on the stainless steel watches, a watch with a sport band only comes with 1 band.

Actually it says "two straps" on the watch I'm looking at (42mm Sport Space Grey), but refers to the "band" in the singular form.

That's a sizing guide.... Where does it say that both are provided in the box? It could be a choice during the ordering process.

Right under sport band on the bottom.

Includes two bands
—
one S/M and one M/L

Okay good, that makes sense. Well spotted. I guess my cynicism after seeing these prices makes it hard for me to believe that they are actually including a second band.

Thanks also, good find.
I agree, after seeing the prices I never thought :apple: would give a band away for free with a watch. Very nice of them. Just to bad we can't choose colors.

So everybody who gets a Sport will get a band that they have no use for? Nice, I'll never have to pay retail for an extra one. :D

The sizing guide states a band of 130mm with the 38mm Apple Watch! Who has a wrist that small? Are Apple expecting dogs to wear these?!?
